Sorry, I'm falling behind again.
Been busy doing lots of nothing. Took Pam on a trip to the casinos of NW Mississippi to see/hear Jonny Lang last week. He's changed his style & we kinda' don't like the new mode. Almost a cross of George Benson/Robert Cray. Guess I'll stick with Geezer Rock & Blues and, of course, Kenny Wayne Shepherd. He still kicks ass. Also a great band is L'il Ed & the Blues Imperials. Been around a long time and they are mucho fun.
Yeah, Pam & I, especially the "I", really like "The Blues".
Bad family news: my brother who kind of doesn't like me much ever since way back when (he & our dad were jazz, I went rock & roll; he was military, I was hippie plus 'dabbled' in the related hippie products. But I digress:) He's been tagged w/cancer. Unsure of seriousness other than the seriousness of cancer in its own right. I'd like to visit but I don't want that underlying "gotta' get there & see him one last time" slant to my knocking on his door, but dammit I want to anyhow. It's 1,010 miles. I could drive via Atlanta and annoy his boy/my nephew Jim (aka: "Little Jimmy").
Any opinions out there?
